Fantastic news! Please join Spider Music and Spider Music USA in congratulating Spider Music USA recording artist Tylarik for taking home the Texas Southern Soul Award for Rising Male Artist of 2019! Don’t let the name of the award fool you — Tylarik faced stiff competition from outside Texas — most of the artists competing for this award are from Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, and many locations in the Northern USA. The annual Texas Southern Soul Awards are dedicated to promoting and preserving a wonderful genre — Southern Soul — keeping alive the most popular music of the 60’s and 70’s that emphasized the “groove of the music,” that is constantly reinvented and inspired by R&B (Rhythm & Blues), Gospel and Electric Blues, as well as Rock & Roll and even Country. We are so proud of our artist — you can see the “metal” he took home this past Saturday night from the awards gala in Houston in the photos below, as well as his proud wife and two daughters. We know this won’t be the last award for The Big Man with The Big Voice — expect more from Tylarik soon!
